Parent In Denial About Special Needs Child

Have you ever had the challenge of coming to terms that your child(ren) have special needs and accept it? Do you as a parent of a Special Needs child find yourself wanting your child to go beyond their abilities even though you know they can't?

Child Special Denial Parent

I do not think I had this problem. I know the special needs my kids have and try my best to keep it on my memory constantly specially when I push them too hard at times or lose patience, now it does not make it any less stressful as you deal with some big challenges day by day, all parents of special kids know what I am talking about.

Personally, I do have great expectations of them but according to their talents AND capacity. The worst thing a parent can do is to be in denial or brush off the situation as something temporary.
