I should have said something sooner, though I was a bit embarrassed given my situation. I'm sure many have noticed in the last three months or so my activity is gone back down again, and the reason for this is I've actually been homeless.

To make matters worse, a few days or so after the last time I posted my phone decided that its cracked screen didn't want to work anymore and I'm not very close to my public library or otherwise with a means of reliable internet. Technically, it had been out of service before this though I was able to connect to Wi-Fi.

Thankfully, just this weekend, my grandmother was able to send me some money and I was able to get myself a new phone with reactivated service. Even then, until I get a job and a place to live I may not have much time to be online.

I'll talk to my Game Masters to see what can be done, but I may have to at least put my characters on pause for a little while if not even leave the in You As a Character roleplay in part because I have felt myself in a rut where to go with my character. Hopefully though, this may not be needed.

Thomaslee, that is very sad to read. When you say "Homeless" I hope you do not mean literally and that you are at least staying by someone even if it is for a short period. What happened to the camping job?

On another note, I am sure our Dungeon Masters will be most understanding of your situation, in fact, if I were you I would concentrate all my efforts on solving the very serious real life issue you have at present rather than worrying over characters.

Well I have been sleeping on different peoples' couch, but it keeps having to switch around. There is the risk though that if I don't get something together soon I could be on the streets. Especially since my step mother has been resistant in me moving back in with her and my dad.

On the camping job, I was quite some time ago and didn't fall through anyway because the position got filled the same day I had tge interview. The one I spoke with not realizing this as it hadn't been communicated to her. No, instead I got telecommunication jobs. Most of which involved health insurance which is why I find the USA healthcare system in such a frustrating state.

A tip I like to give out to people in need of a job and who are a bit of a loner. Look into CDL Trucking. It is one of the few Industries that is still growing in this country.

The estimate is the business is about 50,000 people short, so job security is high and wages are growing. So if safe driving and navigation are at all skills of yours, I suggest considering it. One big catch, be careful of what company you go with.

But yeah, dont worry about your characters, say the word and we can retire them or put them on hold. Mess with it, or don't, when you get things in order.

Are there any assisted living places in your area? Maybe that can be of great help to you, something where you can live and help out as needed and also be helped as necessary so you are not concerned too much about the management of your living or finances.

Sadly Daishain, truck driving is out of the question for the moment until I can get hard contacts and a driver's license. With my eyes having both an irregularity and astigmatism, counting keratoconus, I legally can't drive without some sort of corrective lenses.

I'm not having a driver's license, that is something I'm trying to work on as being without that plus a vehicle is quite imprisoning in a sentence as I am depending on either public transportation or the help of friends and family to get to places if I don't walk.

Yes there is, where I live, and I'm actually trying to get into such but even then I've been told I need some sort of employment. Though once I'm able to start working and have a permanent address, my Bishop said that he'd be able to help me out with rent starting out.

On other resources, such as food, I have a few places that can help me out with that so it's not as much of a concern finding something to eat and I also have food stamps. I also have a place where I can get a haircut and get check-ups until I can hopefully get with Medicaid or something for insurance.

It is good that you at least have a plan so the main thing is employment near to where you live, at least for now. You may also want to do odd jobs like mowing, handyman, sign posting, and so forth as they can give you extra income.

Hello Thomaslee, I'm happy that your church is helping you out with accommodation. Do you have any other form of aid in the area?

I'm thinking Salvation army? Or something of a similar nature. What about some kind of work assistance program? Some kind of organisation, and or people, that can actually assist the unemployed in finding work?

There is the phone calls, letter inquiries, and interviews, that will take both time and money.

Medicade, sounds similar to medicare in Australia, does it have a similar function, and service? And available for all citizens in the USA?
