Many reasons but a couple that comes to my mind is that he/she may not be a registered real estate agent (be aware of scams) as well as the agent being too concerned about making a lot of money out of the transaction rather than helping you find a suitable place.

Agents Estate Real Avoiding

There's alot of ways to avoid a real estate agent. But if you are thinking about viewing or making another transaction. I wouldn't suggest doing it by yourself. You should be aware of things that you have to deal with. You have to deal with the mortgage company, title company, attorneys, surveyor, open house, showing houses at the buyer's convenience, advertisement, preparing documents, negotiating with the different parties, home warranties and you might even have to deal with the third parties Realtor at some point. Its not as easy as it looks like. And it will waste alot of your valuable time. I know people can do it, but its not going to serve them in the end. Some of the people think that brokers are only looking to make some money and not care about their client. It is totally not true. These people doesn't even know anything about this business. We ( broker's) are here to help you and protect the public from being taken advantage of. This is a tough job, and we work very hard. That's why we get paid well. So, whenever an individual wants to buy or sell real estate, hire a real estate professional to make your transaction easy and smooth.
