After Zork dismounts he does not see anything that would make him think that there are any others in the area or see anything suspicious. He heads back towards the wagon that is now heading down the hill on the north track. It will be more than a day for it to get to the next camp site that you can see the tower from.

The day and night pass quietly and uneventful. Everyone arises in the morning to start the rest of the journey to the next camp site that you have found. Albrecht is back with the group. Those injured gain 4 hit points back.

Everyone mounts up and heads to the second camp sight that Zork and Albrecht told you about. The one that you can see the trail continuing towards the mountains and the stone tower that can be seen from the hill top at a distance.

Please read about the tower again. It is not close to you but if you still want to scout around it let me know who is going and what direction they wish to go.

Krusten sends her hawk ahead towards the tower as she climbs on with Zork. Zork leaves the camp area and heads down the path traveling North before it curves to the south and east. As it follows the curve of the hill and a valley between it and the hill to the north and east. Soon you find yourself traveling east and then north east. I will need spot and listen checks from the two of you.

Tilantre you slowly scout around the hill the wagon is on. You do not see anything of interest.

Avan looks through the trash and other thrown away items. You can not gleen much but you can see they are well fed and they seem to have well made boots by looking at the prints. You can not get a clear number of how many were here but it was more than eight.

The Hawk is flying in a lazy circle nothing is noted by his flight. The tower is out of sight as you follow the curve of the steep hills. You will know that the wagon will have a much easier time in the valley. Soon you come around a hill while traveling almost due north. The area opens up ahead of you as you are heading up to a saddle pass between two small mountains. As you gain the pass you can see the tower again.

The tower is part of a fortified wall. You can see people on the wall and the tower. You can see a gate and a drawbridge as the wall is built into the side of the mountain before you. The approach to the gate is a long slope from the bottom of this mountain and the start of the next. One thing you can say for sure that they can see you as well as you see them. Looking up you see the hawk flying in a large circle above the tower and the wall. You can not see anything beyond that besides the mountain heading up behind in a cliff.

The wagon is still traveling along the path. It will take it more than a day to get to the saddle pass. There is a good place for it to turn around at this pass. Those in the wagon will have a quiet day.

How close are you going to move the wagon to the pass. The Tower is North and east of the pass. But the road leading up to it is mostly north after you head down from the pass. While you will be under cover for the first half of the journey to the tower and the wall the approach is out in the open.

Ok maps are updated. You can see the area you are in, A closer to the current mission and then the approach from the tree line. The tree line ends at the bottom of the hill from the pass you are at. The sheer cliff behind the wall and tower makes that approach not a good one you are talking a 2-3,000 foot drop. It looks like the side of the mountain fell down and from the rubble and other large rocks the walls and tower were built as a stronghold. There is a crevice of some sorts that the draw bridge spans, how deep it is you can not see from pass or below. The raised roadway/path to the stronghold is raised and smoothed over a large area of scree and rough rocky terrain that looks like it may be a bit unstable to cross. Total distance from the saddle pass is about 1.5 miles. IF any question please ask.
