The crevice is about 25 feet wide. The base of the wall is about one foot away from the edge of the crevice. You can see some of the details as you look out from the tree line as you head down the path to the bottom of the hill. You can see walls that appear to be about 20 feet in height and the central square tower that is 30 feet to a side. The tower looks to be about 50 feet high.
Riding a horse to the main road will take about 8 hours at a full gallop. The only issue is how hard that will be on the horse.
The wagon can not be turned around on the trail until it get up to the saddle pass. There it will be exposed to the tower and wall. You can take it back down after turning it around or take it back into the woods between the pass and the bottom where the tree line ends. You can always chop down some trees to make a area off the path to place the wagon in. This will take some time. Yes you do have three sets of muted green cloaks and clothes that you got from the three archers.
IT takes at least a couple days of studying the manual to get any use out of it. As far as time has gone on it has been less than a hour.
You set the wagon up to look as if it has been sacked. You then spend the night in shifts waiting to see if anyone comes along. The night is clear and cool with one of the three moons visible. It does not add a lot of light to the scene. The night passes quiet. It is very quiet with not chitterling of small animals or birds. The quietness lasts into the morning.
Krusten, Zork and Faerydae put on the clothing that you got off the three archers in the woods. You get the draft horses hooked up to the wagon and pretend to tie Albrecht and Avan to the back with their animals inside. You start moving over the pass and down towards the wall and tower. I will need to know where Tilantre, Arkanoth and Teryu are going to be. Will they be inside with the hired ranger? Edited: KNtoran on 31st Jul, 2016 - 2:46pm
Out of Character: The others do not slow the wagon at all as it moves down the hill. The draft horses will go at a slow pace so that it does not speed up out of control.
Looking at the mountain it almost looks as if the twoer and the walls were build into a sheer cliff. Like the mountain broke off and came down and someone took the larger rocks and used them the build a fort. You can not be sure but when you were at the pass you thought that you may have seen that some work may have gone into the mountain. With a sheer drop from the top of the cliff being a good 2-3,000 feet there is not another way into this fort/stronghold other than over the crevice and into the fort via the front door or over the walls.
When you leave the cover of the trees you see a lot of activity on the walls and horn starts to sound. You are close enough to see that the people inside do not seem friendly at all. As you move closer a ballista is fired towards you but falls a bit short. It hits about twenty feet in front of where Zork is riding ahead.
You are able to get the wagon back into the tree line. The ballista has not fired again. The tree line is just past the bottom of the hill and heading back up. You can set the break here or try to roll the wagon backwards up the hill. You can hear some yelling and cheering up on the walls of the stronghold.
It will take the rest of the day and everyone's help to get the wagon back up the hill and to the pass where it is wide enough to turn the wagon around. By the time you get to that camp it is almost fully dark and every one is tired. Make sure to roll spot and listen checks.
