Lionel lady Natasha smiles warmly back to you and states that yes she would love to tell you more about her story after dinner. Right now she must get ready for dinner and that takes a lady a bit. She smiles at the duke and gives him a nod and a slight curtsey before heading out one of the side doors. The duke smiles at her and tells her to take her time. He turns you and says women are interesting. I do wish my late wife was still with me. I miss her and her advise greatly. Having Natasha and her Uncle Koven here to advise me in matters of state has helped me a lot these past few months. He then gives you a slight nod as he excuses himself and heads to the door in the very back of the audience chamber. As he goes he tells you he will see you at supper.

The hooded figure looks at you for a moment and then scans the tree line. The figure raises a arm as if to remove is hood. The figure stops what he is doing and then looks back at Oliron. It nasally voice comes to you barely over a whisper. "If thee wants to see my face then you shall have to remove the hood with your own fingers."

His arm reaches straight out towards the tree line and lightning spews forth blasting four or five trees in a row. Pieces of bark, some limbs and other blasted tree parts radiate around you all. Those in the trees need to make saving throws or be hit with debris.

The figure barks out a laugh and knees the horse into a gallop to the south.

What do you do know.

Ok here is the updated version of all that transpired.

The hooded figure was seen coming from the Stronghold.

He was met on the road by Oliron after he had mounted his horse.

Namdar and Ryorst exit the Strong hold about the same time as the guy nears Oliron

Oliron tells the hooded figure that things are not going well

The hooded figure tells Oliron Complications always arise. Deal with them as instructed before. If you can not deal with them then I shall get one to replace Grok

Oliron demands that he remove his hood or be fired upon by archers in the tree line. Ryorst moves closer on the road carrying a small keg of ale. Namdar moves into the tree line in an attempt to get a surprise attack on the hooded figure.

The hooded figure raises his arms as to comply with the demand.

The hooded figure says a comment to Oliron that he could barely hear.

The hooded figure straightens out his arm and lighting erupts hitting the tree line exploding trees.

People in the tree line dive for cover around the exploding trees. Reflex roll to save vs Dexterity or take 4 points of damage.

Ryorst seeing the hooded figure cast forth lightning and then laughing as he knees the horse into a gallop throws his keg of ale at the hooded figure.

The keg of ale hits the hooded figure square in the back knocking him forward on his horse. This causes the horse to stumble before it can begin its gallop. The hooded figure is slumped in the saddle but not fallen the horse is not galloping but walking away down the road.

As people are recovering from the tree line the hooded figure is gasping for breath.

Say what your going to do now.

As your all rushing toward the hooded figure you see four arrows striking it. The figure lets out a grown and throws something to the ground. The hooded figure slides off the horse landing on the object. There is a bright flash and when you can all see again the figure is gone. The horse is still standing there.

The figure never looked up so the attempt to hypnotize never appeared.

First of all I will create a new thread Called AD&D inside the Stronghold for those who are in the Dukes Stronghold. I have no problem with the party splitting up.

As you approach the horse you can see the saddle has the purple mark of the Dukes. This is just a normal medium war horse that is not afraid of a bright flash. Those of you who are attuned to magic you can sense that magic has been preformed here. The brilliant flash was the result of someone using a teleport orb.

In your training you have heard of these powerful devices. They can be dropped or placed upon the ground and then jumped or dropped on to teleport the person to a specific location. These orbs are expensive but well worth the expense if one is injured and needs to make a quick exit. Provokastara you can find some of the shattered remains of such an orb.

You all gather around forgoing any more rest as Namdar leaves with Ryorst and Skedvick to return to the Stronghold to let Lionel know what is going on. The rest wait for Namdar to return before they head south back to the farm.

You all head south. As for the detect magic. You get the faint glimmers of magic from various pieces of shattered glass. Otherwise you see no other signs of magic or magical devises.

As you head south following the road towards Larry's farm you all start to become fatigued. You stumble along not really paying attention to what is ahead or behind you. It is all you can do to keep placing one foot in front of the other. It has been a long day the sun is down and the moon is rising. Say what your going to do now.

You find a small hill lock that looks like it was used before as a camp site. The back of the hill provides a spot to place you backs against with out the risk of surprise. You were able to fell a deer and as parts roast over the fire you prepare to get some rest. Pundit heals those who were injured and the night passes without incident. As the sun comes up over the horizon your greeted to a day that looks as if it is going to rain. As you break camp a light mist starts to fall.
