Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Play By Post Game - Page 11

The more you head west the warmer the smoke gets. The smoke also gets a bit thicker as you head west. Soon you have to move north or south to get out of the smoke as it starts to choke you. You can now hear the sounds of a fire burning ahead. As you top a small rise you can see the forest ending in a clearing. You see a field that has been planted and a barn burning. You see about 12 orcs standing in front of a farm house laughing as they hold a woman on the ground while they take pot shots at a farmer tied to the door with arrows. You can see they are having fun with this game as the farmer has been hit only twice once in the leg and once in a arm. They want him to live awhile as they torture him and his woman. You can see the woman has her hands tied together above her head and her dress has been ripped half off her exposing her to all. You can hear the cries of a child or two in the house.

Namdar you are able to walk from the trees by the barn that is burning. The smoke is blowing away from you so your very visible because of the light from the fire. The orcs in front of the house have stopped their fun as they turn to those charging from the tree line. They are drawing bows and opening fire at those who are charging. You can get close enough to attack. Aive you come out of the woods behind the house. There you see two orcs watching the back of the house as another one is butchering a cow. You can not see any doors on the back of the house but there are two shuttered windows.

Main group. As your charging the orcs they open fire with bows. Oliron you are hit twice for 10 points damage. Beast you are hit once for 4 points damage. Pundit is hit twice for 9 points damage. Ryorst you are hit once for 5 points damage.

Krusten has hit a orc with her arrows killing it. Oliron hit one orc with his two arrows before tossing his bow aside and charging. That orc is dead too.

This is the end of round one. Everyone is within melee range now. One person needs to roll for initiative for the party to start round two. Post this in the party leader thread. Aive I need to know if your attempting to sneak up on the three behind the house. You are the only one who knows they are back there. The smoke blocks Namdar from seeing them.

Party has initiative so give me your next round rolls.

At the end of the first round here is what transpired as you got within melee attack range.

Krusten: Two arrows are all you get in one round. Your next attack will be the second round. You hit with one arrow and missed with the second. However the arrow that hit pierced the orcs heart killing it.

Pundit: At the end of the first round your swing missed. You stated that you wished to heal. You did 7 points of healing to Oliron.

Beast: At the end of your first round you hit the orc you closed with killing it with a vicious strike.

Ryorst: You were able to close with your orc and kill it too.

Oliron you just closed with the orcs taking your action with the two arrows.

Roll for attack all save Krusten.

Aive: You were able to kill the now lone Orc that was cutting up the cow. Like stated before there is no door and only shuttered windows in the back of the house.
State your next action.

Namdar. You were able to lay down cattrops with no problem and are now with the back of the orc party. The orcs there are preparing to fire more arrows at the party members. I rolled to see if they noticed you and I got a 2. They are clueless.

Aive tries the back window and finds the shutters locked from the inside. You work at unbarring the window.

Namdar you are able to pull the farmers wife free of the fray but her screams of panic causes one of the orcs coming from the back of the house to see you. He will advance on you pulling his falchion out. You have not had time to free the farmer himself.

Beast you next attack cuts the orc in two. The surprised look on its face pleases you.

Pundit attacks and kills the closest orc to him.

Oliron misses

Like I said before Krusten has killed another with her bow this second round.

Ryorst you attack and kill another of the orcs.

The orcs attack

Oliron they miss you

Ryorst you are hit for 7 points damage

Pundit you are hit for 4 points damage

Beast you are missed

Krusten is too far away to be hit

Namdar you release the farmers wife to protect yourself. The falchion barely hits you as you jump back. You take 1 point of damage.

Aive you are surprised suddenly as the shutter bursts outward from a bench being shoved halfway through. You take 1 point of damage from flying wood.

Roll for Round three

Aive rolls tumbles and dodges as he get close to the house and right under the window. He hears the orc inside say something loudly as it pokes its head out the window looking for you.

Namdar - you push the now dead orc away but it is too far away from the remaining orcs to be affective. You turn and run towards the orc that is charging at you. He does not seem to be intimidated by you at all. In fact he seems to be smiling. You jump, swing and attempt to over topple him. He seemed to be ready for such a attack you find yourself slamming hard against the side of the house. You take 1 point of damage.

Orcs turn.

Round five:

Ryorst falls to the ground unconscious he is out of the battle

Namdar throws his scimitar at the farmers wife as he passes out trying to stumble into the orc. He falls short of his goal as the orc sees his comrade in the house fall.

Aive surprised the orc looking for him and hits the orc with his sap. The orc jerks his head up hard causing him to snap his own neck. The orc drops inside the house. Aive sees another orc outside the house with namdar laying at his feet. The orc growls at Aive.

Beast hits the next orc killing it.

Oliron you miss I need new attack rolls from you.

Pundit misses I need new attack rolls from you too.

Krusten your first arrow misses but your second arrow hits true killing another orc. I need more attack rolls from you as well.

Krusten now sees 4 orcs still up and moving.

The orcs turn

Beast - the orc by you hits you for 4 points damage.

Oliron the orc by you misses.

Pundit the orc by you misses.

The other orc sees Aive through the house as aive sees him. The Orc turns and kicks the woman knocking the breath out of her causing her to gasp for breath as it starts to run to the back of the house.

Thus ends round Five.
