Bali Bomber

I watched CNN and BBC news today, and it showed the Indonesian court pronoucing the death sentence on the Bali bomber, Amrozi. And it is so very disgusting the way he reacted. Smiling and holding up his arms as if he has won some victorious game. Totally no remorse. No comprehension of the severity of his actions and the consequences.

Is he a nut case, or is he so brainwashed by those Islamic militants to think that his actions were condoned by the Almighty?

Really I do not see any difference between him an Bin Laden sice both smiled and both were 'happy' about those that died. As for this 'nut case' he looks like a lost soul that knows death is certain so what more to do that show he is 'not' afraid, but I can tell you he is...

Lastly, it is these types that give more foundation to the USA's interest in moving their armies throughout the world.

Now his attorney is saying they will appeal his sentence. If I am the judge there, I would say, "to heck with it. Don't waste taxpayers money. Shoot him NOW, since he totally has no remorse at all". Done. Move on to try the next one.

That's true, JB, about the US interests. And not only that. These sort of people, shouting 'Allah Akbar', etc. give Islam a bad name. I am sure Islam, just like any other religion, teaches good values not such horrible ones.

I was also shocked and appauled at his reaction >:(

On the news over here they also spoke to families of the British people who died in the bombing to get their reaction to the sentance. Some said they were glad he was found guilty but were not happy that he got the death sentance. Why? Because that's what he wants, he'll become a martyr to those who support him, and death is the easy way out.

I saw the guy on TV. It is desgusting to see the reaction this guy have. I cannot believe there are so many evil people out there who do not have value for human life. Yes Fireduck, I think Islam teaches great values to the people but like any other religion there are some sick people that interpret the religion in the way they want to :smile.gif.

Robert, true until certain extent, but I do not think that the Indonesian system should spend not even a CENT in a guy like that in jail!!!! :smile.gif

Okay, so the Bali Bomber that carried out the act gets death, but what about the possible master mind? What about the senior cleric that only got 4 years? I think that he was given that term because of pressurem I am sure if it was some small 'joe' it would have been life or death?
