This evening I took two of my sons to trick or treat to Westmoorings. They had a blast. We reached Westmoorings around 6:15 and there weren't many trick or treaters but as it got close to 6:30 we started seeing LOTS.

Since not every house in Westmoorings gives candy to the children you usually spot them because they have their houses decorated or they are in their yard with a basket or bag in hand ready to give.

The magic words in the USA are: "Trick or Treat give me something nice to eat" but here is "Trick or Treat, money or sweet".

The neighbors were super friendly with everyone, and some of them even invited you inside to check their decorations. Very nice neighborhood and people.

You would think those people would love Halloween as we love carnival but Halloween have no rum and jump and wave to it so they can't get into it. Plus chocolate real expensive boy if you buying that is for yourself.

Comments: Hi I'm just asking so its not a problem for outsiders to go to [the] west to celebrate Halloween. My kids [are] from [the] States [and they] have been dying to go somewhere for Halloween.

Kam, I'm not sure what you are "Asking". You are looking for this site to give you permission to go to West Trinidad to Trick or Treat? I would imagine that you would have to know someone in the West who celebrated the occasion so your children can walk from house to house with theirs rather than just showing up.

All this crazy talk of Halloween being from the devil and all that yet they want to dress up for Carnival and that's OK? I don't get it.

Comments: Once again it is so sad that we have allowed ourselves to be influenced by the outside world into this highly marketed activity. The net benefit of this type of activity has no "value" to our people other than to the merchants who peddle their products.

Ashton, how is that different from Christmas? People spend more than ever, do bankrupt and crime doubles… where is the benefit in that or any other brand that comes here? Halloween is just once a year and its how people choose to have fun, not everyone has to do the same as everyone else, this isn't a socialist country.
