Cop Killing Suspect Maurice Clemmons Shot Dead by Seattle Police Ref. CNN
SEATTLE (AP) -- Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says Maurice Clemmons was shot early Tuesday in a Seattle neighborhood. Authorities suspected Clemmons of gunning down four police officers at a coffee shop Sunday morning in Lakewood, a suburb about 35 miles south of Seattle. Ref. USAToday

When I first heard of this shooting my heart went out to that community who just lost a shift of hard working police officers. For someone to come into a business just to gun down police officers tells me that someone has a lot of anger issues. I feel sorry for the officers families.

Video shows the victim, fleeing on foot from three Pasco police officers across a busy intersection with arms akimbo. The man then turns and faces the cops with his arms in front of him when a barrage of gunfire - as many as 13 shots, according to some accounts - is fired from their guns, fatally wounding him. Ref. This is so strange. A religious couple with 8 kids living in an upscale neighborhood....What went wrong?
QUOTE CLARKSTON, Wash. — A woman and an 18-month-old boy died Thursday and two other children were seriously wounded by gunshots at a residence outside this southeast Washington city.
Asotin County Sheriff Ken Bancroft confirmed gunfire at the residence but refused to say how the 31-year-old woman and child died. No arrests were made but Bancroft said there was "no danger to the community. That we do know."
The woman and child who died were not identified pending notification of relatives.
The Washington State Patrol said the father of the household called 911. He and another child were found uninjured.
County records and neighbors said William Sohn Duman and Elizabeth Duman lived at the residence at the end of Scenic Hills Drive in the Clarkston Heights area, the Lewiston Tribune reported.
Bancroft refused to identify the family Thursday night. He said a news conference was scheduled for Friday morning.
Sheriff's deputies responding to the call shortly after noon Thursday found the bodies of the 31-year-old woman and the little boy. Two other children -- a 3-year-old boy and an infant girl -- were taken to a hospital in Spokane... Source 6y
