Obviously the Bible has to be my number one.

I enjoy reading biographies or autobiographies of sportsmen I admire, like Steven Gerrard and George Best.

But one of the most interesting and moving books I have ever read was Of Mice and Men. It is a pretty sad story and gets very deep.

The best book was sent to me from a friend in Missouri
"The Shack" I couldn't put it down. Later I went to costco and bought 10 copies to give them away. I've never done that with any other book except the Book of Mormon, but thats what you do when you're on a mission.

Sense I don't think it fair to ask me to choose between the two I will separate books into two loosely main areas. Nonfiction: Bible/ Book of Mormon. Fiction: "The Sight", by David Clement-Davies
(Author)

international QUOTE
"In the beginning was a castle high on a craggy precipice..." a wolf fantasy.
"This had to have been an awfully fun book to write! The author incorporates a myriad of myths and childhood tales relating both to wolves and to Transylvania. Then he adds the lupine equivalent of the significant stories of several major religions, and slips in all sorts of philosophical questions ranging from the meaning of humankind on earth, to how best to raise a child. At one point, as I marveled about a chapter I'd just finished, I thought of the phrase "...everything but the kitchen sink." There is no doubt that you could easily construct a semester course around the themes, allusions, and background of this book." Quote
This is a good discription of the book.
"As a she-cub is whelped with a coat that is white,
And human child stolen to suckle the Sight
From a place where injustice was secretly done
Then the Marked One is here and a legend begun.
When Wolfbane is dreamt of with terror and dread,
And untamed are tamed, prepare for the dead.
For the Shape Changer's pact with the birds will come true,
When the blood of the Varg blends with Man's in the dew,
As the Searchers are tempted, who hunger and prowl,
Down the Pathways of death, by the summoning howl.

Then the truest of powers will be fleshed on the bone
And the Searchers tempt nature to prey on its own.
With blood at the alter, the Vision shall come
When the eye of the moon is as round as the sun.
In the citadel raised by the lords of before,
The stone twins await--both the power and the law.
Then the past and the future shall finally show,
To the wounded, the secret the Lera must know.
And all shall be witness to that which will be,
In the mind of the Man Varg, then none shall be free.

And only a family both loving and true,
May conquer the evil, so ancient, so new.
As they fight to uncover what secrets they share
And see in their journey how painful is care.
Beware the Betrayer, whose meaning is strife,
For their faith shall be tried by the makers of life,
And who shall divine, in the dead of the night,
The lies from the truth, the darkness from light?
Like the cry of the scavenger, torn through the air
A courage is needed, as deep as despair."

The best book I've ever read was Tuesdays With Morrie. I was able to pull so much from this small book; it has really enriched my life.

I'm a bookworm and try to spend every free minute reading. I'm also reading a lot to my daughter because I want her to love books and reading as much as I do. It's a pity, in my opinion, that so many people these days don't read (anymore)...

I'm a big Matthew Riely fan also I forget the author but the Night Angel Trilogy was AWESOME! and I cant wait to see if it ever continues on like it was suppose too!

Also recently read a book called Wikid, was half comic half novel! was cleverly done and an easy read as I think it was aimed at young teens but it sure did make a lot of train rides a lot more bearable!

Amazing how many people say The Bible.
For me, it would be a toss between Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath by HP Lovecraft.
They"re both beautifully dark tales that have given me many cool nightmares.

A very very tough call it is extremely hard to single out just one book that you could or would qualify as you best read.

As the books can vary and mix with many topics themes etc....

But I have to say one of the books that I was surprised I did enjoy very much was "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote.

I reccomend this as a very interesting and well written book.

I think that Paulo Coelho's The Zahir is the best book I have ever read. Also his outstanding The Alchemist is one of the best too. Actually Paulo Coelho makes a very good writer.
