What is your strategy for confronting the fantasy creature Wight in Dungeons & Dragons?

This is a undead creature you want to hit from as far away as possible. Its touch can drain you of levels and it points. Plus the fact you need a +1 or better weapon to just hit it makes the wright a dangerous foe for even seasoned characters.

Fighting a single one of these is not common. The fact that someone killed by a wight rises up as a wight and joins its ranks makes these beasties pack encounters usually. Use your standard undead tactics against it.

Also these things are sneaky as heck: Hide +8, Listen +7, Move Silently +16, Spot +7
