What is your strategy for confronting the fantasy creature Zombie in Dungeons & Dragons?

Zombie

Zombies are your run of the mill undead like a skeleton. The best way to kill them is a cleric using turn undead or cure light wounds on them. Most characters can take care of a few Zombies with little difficulty. They seem to be challenge to lower level characters.

Seeing how most have zombie fever of late these are a pleasing staple for any party to come up against at least once. Tactics to fight these are as stated above by KNtoran. Also I would say to just have fun with it. Use like items that are just laying about. Common items like a rake or fishing pole or tongs. Just have fun with it if you can, zombies are easy to kill they are dumb and slow.
