Release the Fear

What are your thoughts about the organization "Release the Fear" and their teaching at risk youth to release their frustrations through art?

This is a common thought that if you give troubled youth an outlet like this they will straiten up more or at least find a constructive hobby. In my experience this is not the case.

Having an artistic outlet is good yes but the problem runs much deeper and most of the time can't be done away with so easily. I have several friends who turned to art to vent their frustrations and are now productive members of society. As tatoo artists and such. Were others are just messed up and now know how to play guitar and draw.
