A crutch?

I am sorry sir if I misrepresented my self. I am not using Trinidad as crutch for anything. Those are partly MY legitimate reasons for returning to my homeland.

It maybe difficult for some to understand why I want to return home, while others envy me. But I love Trinidad!

Where is your wife from? Did she ever come to Trinidad? Where do you plan to settle? It seems like Trinidadians abroad have a very hard time letting go because no matter how long they live abroad they still try to live there like they do here (and obviously doesn't work) it is so strange to me.

Personally, I don't think it has nothing to do with the love for the country but more about the laid-back attitude of the people and the country in general which is totally different in the US or Canada.

Wow, like a good Trini you're surely thin-skinned. I was not talking about you actually. Sorry to disappoint you but you are not the first one that comes to the forum saying they want to return to Trinidad after long years living abroad so I was speaking generally. No need to sweat.

Thanks for that revelation. Just when I thought I was a trailblazer in being the first Trini to announce on this forum that I am returning to sweet T&T.

I think it is nice when Trinis abroad want to return home. The best part about it is they bring all their experience back to help the people here. Well, that's just the way I see it if it's good experiences of course .

Actually I think she is speaking out of very good experience. We have been running this site for almost a decade and have seen various reasons for Trinis to say why they are returning here. What she summarized as the general reason is very correct and in line with your given reasons for returning hence I also used the word "crutch". This may not be your case but that will be left to be seen in how you respond to the real issues of Discussion here. Maybe you should address the serious Threads within the Trinidad & Tobago Board then a better understanding of your perspective will be understood as this Thread only deals with what is 'Nice'.
