That's actually quite a powerful quote, pretty directly laying out what I think an AWFUL lot of people think about war in general, and specific ones more intensely.
I do think sometimes there ARE legitimate needs such as individuals' rights, safety, etc. But I'd agree that in today's world, very little in war tends to be for the altruistic reasons stated, or if it is, very rarely ever *accomplishes* these grandiose goals - unfortunately.
