The injured goblin drops to the ground before begging for its life. It allows itself to be bound and seems to have taking a liking to Val.

Looking at her mostly, it speaks in broken common to her, "Thank you, please, have mercy. We not want to fight you, we have to.".

Val you have successfully stabilized (heal skill) Gabriel's leg wound. Pulling the javelin out you feel Gabriel's pain. You lay your hands on the wound and it stops bleeding. Somehow your feeling made it happen, your pretty sure . . .

The goblin stammers, "R-r-raven come, brothers and sisters disappear, w-we leave c-c-cave. L-leader says we must attack people, or we never see b-b-brothers and sisters again."

The goblin chatters on with crazy words, he is shaking and probably going into shock. You are aware the goblin has relieved itself from fear.

Aive you say your quick Hello's, then approach the goblin in it's native tongue explaining yourself as friend. You are having a hard time reading the creatures intentions because it is staring strait ahead, eyes glazed over. As you get close enough to search the goblin and begin to. The goblin lets out a short yelp, then passes out.

The goblin has a morningstar and leather armor on his person. It lays bound and motionless in its own refuse.

While the rest of the party is dealing with the goblin and Gabriels wound. Lwentano slips off to scout the area occupied by goblins.

Lwentano you approach the burned out farmhouse bow at the ready scanning for any sign of goblins. You do not see any activity around the farmhouse. You work your way around to the door from a distance trying to ascertain if any goblins remain inside. You hear a yelp from inside that must be goblin, seconds later a javelin appears from the sky and strikes you in the chest knocking the wind from you (you take 3 damage). Another javelin lands 7 feet from you, sticking into the ground.

You see a goblin standing just within the doorway, he appears to be unarmed.

Surveying the battle field you find a total of 7 dead goblins. Most all have 2 arrows in their torso vitals area. One inside the burnt out farmhouse seems to have been accidentally shot in its back with a javelin by the most recently dead goblin in the doorway. You notice that 5 out of 7 of them are wearing hooded cloaks, the hoods have been died black.

Including the captured goblins equipment you find 3 light shields, 7 morningstars, 6 javelins, 7 leather armors, 5 hooded cloaks, and 4 small sacks filled with gold coins (totaling 240gp).

Lwentano's wound is dressed, yet his chest will still hurt time to time for the next few days.

A total of 3 minutes have passed during the encounter and up to this point. The captured goblin remains passed out. The time is around the middle of the night, it is cool out but not cold.

Your party secures the items and returns to the camp. All seems quite and resting resumes. The goblin has lied passed out the whole time.

Mourning approaches and the party wakes. The day lies before them, the goblin has awoken.

He seems to be in good spirits as he speaks, "Are you going to let me go?"

The party makes its way back towards town, towards were they saw smoke rising the previous day. The goblin follows along offering his cooperation. He claims to know the location of his tribe within Shaderoot Forest and can lead the group there. He doesn't seem to understand very mutch of what you say getting only the general idea. Your beginning to think it is mentally challenged. A few times he sees a butterfly and runs at it to stomp on it but has forgotten he is tied up and abruptly is yanked to a halt, violently slamming into the ground.

After a 5 hour hike you come upon Nartok's farm that has had one of its barns burnt to ashes. There are several men out around the pile of burnt woods and ash sifting threw what remains. Sorting boards into one pile and digging threw the ash with shovels. The smell of the burnt out barn is very strong.

It is about noon and the sky is clear. The day is warm it is around 85 degrees with little wind.

Gabriel stays back with the goblin, throwing a hooded cloak over him and walking slowly south down the road towards Klagek.

Nartok and his 3 sons stop their work long enough to exchange information.

"My sons and I fought off those pests no problem. Me being on the outskirts here I usually am the one to deal with em'. They seemed a little more determined this time, burnin' down my barn here."

Nartok goes on to explain the fight and how he sent them squealing back to their caves. He was injured but only slightly, all he lost from the barn was a bunch of hay and a few chickens. They fought to put the fire out for a little while but once the hay caught it was all over.

They go back to work as Val begins counseling, looking up nodding in recognition every so often. They thank you for your offer to help but tell you they are almost done and to keep your gold.

There is nothing of any real value within the ashes, the heat was so intense that it melted most anything that it did not burn.

"If ya see any of those little buggers be sure to stomp em dead for me." Nartok calls out to the PC's as they continue south.

I guess I am assuming your heading south, unless you want to question Nartok further or conduct some other action. If not you continue south and arrive at Klagek's North Gate after about 5 hours travel.
