Meaning of the name Zuhura
Name: Zuhura
Subject: Name Meaning
Message: I have always been told that my name is of African origin (Swahili language) and that it means "Beautiful Princess". Up until a few years ago, I never had a hard time finding my name with that meaning attached. I guess it's popularity, if it ever had any, has waned. (At least here in America).
Recently, I met a woman from Pakistan who told me that the name also has Persian origins and that it means "heavenly body" (as in stars).
Since I have not been able to locate either of these meanings online, physical research (books) or word of mouth inquiries might be the most efficient way to either confirm or refute this information.
