Curfews

Many, though not all cities, have curfews for teenagers. For instance, in my town for ages 15-18 during the week, you can't be out after 11:30 PM, and 01:00 AM on the weekends. For younger than that, I believe it is an hour or 2 earlier.

I don't think that the city has the right to tell you when you have to be home. That is the duty of your parents. It's complete, unjustified age discrimination.  

What do you all think ? Is there any curfew for teenagers in your town ?  Do you think cities's goverments have the right to tell you when and what time you cant be outside?

Your thoughts please.

Curfews

Well, you're right about the responsibilty of the parents about the time their children should be at home. BUt because some parents NEGLECT of this responsibility the government or authorities don't have another choice but to make these kind of regulations. If there were more caring and concerned parents probably there will no be need for it, don't you think?.

Heh, i'm lucky.  No curfew at my town.  Whew.  I don't even have a curfew from my parents, none of my siblings did so i'm pretty sure i don't.   Its great.
