What is your strategy for confronting the creature Snake in Dungeons & Dragons?

Snakes are never nice to deal with in real like or AD&D. If they are attacking by ambush then worst because they usually try to constrict or poison you. The source link gives the numbers for various snakes and none of it is favorable for the player's character.

Snake Reviews RPG & Card Board

Snakes, a snake is a nice creature to throw in here and there as a party is adventuring. While it may not pose a great threat a poisonous snake can rid the party of a important member if they are getting close to finding out the truth about something the GM wants hidden.

(laugh), that is devilish smile.gif shame on you.

I have been bitten by a snake KNtoran threw at me. Piece of cake, no worries there.

They are deceiving though in ADnD. One thinks a snake is a easy kill but in this game they are hardly that. A snake can cause serious damage to a slumbering party.
