What is your strategy for confronting the creature Toad in Dungeons & Dragons?

I guess this is just here for if anyone is thinking of using it like a familiar cause they're not battle creatures. Isn't there a poisonous version though?

They have one of the highest Hide skills I have seen, certainly in a lower level creature. However like Play stated above they have no attack, pretty mutch a good stomp will relieve you of the toad.

There might be a poisonous spitting toad but other than that I don't see toads being really a problem unless they're being used as a familiar to spy like Oliron pointed out.
