1. Veternarian (age 5) Then I realized I'd have to kill animals
2. Teacher (age 6-11)
3. Band director (12-15)
4. English teacher (15-16)
5. Journalist (16-18)
6. Christian Educator (18)
7. Elementary Teacher (19+) Which is what degree I'm working on now. I don't think I would have gotten away with being a teacher of some sorts.
I don't actually remember the age boundaries, but it goes like this:
Writer, poet, book-editor, book illustrator, book-binder, book-everything (all of them simultaneously)
Vet
Archeologist
Astrophysics or Genetic Biology
Cognitive Sciences
Social Anthropology(as soon as I found out its existance)---ooh finally settled! whoosh, that was a bumpy road to decision! Edited: SapphireNada on 30th Aug, 2005 - 7:08pm
Since I remember I wanted to become a doctor. I can't explain why. All the others were thinking of become something exotic/dangerous and sometimes I tried to think back ... wasn't there a more "interesting" job that I wanted? Nope! Sorry!
At the age of 17 I decided I wanted to become a dentist. Now that I think back, I really haven't got a clue what this job is all about (I don't have/didn't had problems with my teeth). I just thought it will pay well.
Offtopic but, I wasn't wrong! ![]() |
From as far back as I can remember, I had always wanted to
be a professional dancer (have done)
wanted to teach dance (have done)
one day open my own dance studio (have not yet done)
be a competitive speed skater-yes roller skating- (have done)
Anyone willing to lend me a small business loan to get started?
When I was young I wanted to be a teacher, because I always enjoyed learning so much when I had a good teacher, and hated it when I had a bad teacher. If I would be a teacher then probably I would teach math.
Writing was always a passion of mine, and I perhaps I will write a book or two in the future.
Right now, coding is very fun to play with, but I don't know if I want that to be my main profession. Maybe just a hobby. As my true profession, I want to be is a CEO of a company, because I like to be in charge of things What exactly the company would do, I have no idea.
I don't remember any childhood ambitions, other than wanting to sing (and I can't carry a tune in a bucket, so that's out).
However, post-teen ambitions:
Mom (still doing that )
Property manager (did that)
Court reporter (went to school, but unable to work full time and go to school full time.. so had to drop it)
Accountant (doing that)
I'm sort of at a crossroads now, because I don't really enjoy what I do and I'd like to find something I could do from home. I love to write, and I'm great at proofreading, and I also enjoy graphic design (not the actual artistry, but pulling together components to make something fabulous! )
