Hehe, JB, this is the result of my 6+ year old PC at home. It may be old, but it got a better rating than yours . So, what do you say to that!! |
I am not really confusing the two. Â I would argue that when working on-line, the connection speed is far more important than processor speed. Â We an only operate at the speed of the lowest denominator and since most of my stuff is done on-line, my PC at home isn't slowing me down all that much. Â I admit a faster computer would make a difference, but I will never get the full benefit of all that "suped up speed" if I am using a dial-up to connect. Â It will help to have a fast computer on a dial up, but a slow computer on a fast connection isn't all that bad.
My pages would load faster with a new computer, but I think they probably still load faster than someone with a fast computer on dial-up. Â I think that is all I am trying to say.
Believe me, I would love a new computer at home. Â Just not in the cards right now. >:(
I only have 333 MHz, with 128 MB RAM on Windows 98.
Now, at work I have 2.4 GHz with 512 MB or RAM on a T-1 connection on Windows XP. Â ;D

This was on my laptop over a wireless connection to my cable modem. Awesome!
