I was looking at getting a laptop and a friend of mine who is like a computer nerd says I should always stick with Intel because it usually out performs AMD chips.

I am looking to buy a new laptop soon, and from what I've heard, AMD processors do lack in raw CPU power compared to Intel processors, but AMD's integrated graphics are WAY better than Intel's. So if you want to do some light gaming, a good AMD processor is the way to go.
