Pop up window problem - Page 2
As I can see this thread had gotten a little bit off topic but as for the original post:

I would highly suggest one of two solutions to this type of problem.
1. Find a copy of IE 5.5, un-install IE6 and reinstall the copy of IE 5.5. IE 6 did not get along well with many copies of Windows 98. If this is not an appropriate option then...
2. Check your version of Windows 98. It is most likely going to be first edition rather than Second edition. This would require actually installing a copy of Windows 98se upgrade from a CD. (To check your version of windows; right click on "my computer", on the pop-up menu click on properties, Version on this screen should read Windows 98 and have a set of numbers out to the right of it. If the numbers read anything other than 2.2.2.?.? then it is not second edition.)
**Best solution in my own opinion in this day would be to replace your computer with something running Windows XP. Why run 98 if you are having problems, step into something made this century.
