They have to be crazy. After just losing a major election and so many people disgruntled they want to get a pay increase - for what?

They have to be mad. The President had to call their attention a few days ago because they go to work after lunch time instead of the morning and he told them they should be in parliament at 8:00am. A lot of them go to work around 2:00pm and they want a raise in their salaries? They have NO SHAME!

Only in a place like Trinidad and Tobago could politicians suggest that a worsening economy means that everyone should cut back but at the same time increase the salaries of all members of parliament. Why aren't people protesting this?
