Jacksonville woman struck lying on road just got out of jail

About 1:50 a.m. Monday police were called to the 7500 block of Garden Street near Imeson Road after a motorist reported seeing a woman lying on the road. The driver stopped to check on the woman, but another motorist didn't see the victim and struck her, the Sheriff's Office said. Ref. Source 8

Jacksonville police charge 2 as accessories in teen's weekend slaying

Jacksonville police have charged two men as accessories in Saturday's slaying of a 14-year-old outside an Arlington teen club. Raphael L. Thompson, 19, and Bryant L. Smith, 20, were arrested Tuesday night on charges of accessory after the fact in the death of Horace Lee James Jr. Smith also is charged with giving false information to police in the case. Ref.
