The Game Master says...

GM: No Super Hero Leader actions posted in three days so the story continues.

You are taken aback by the lying Professor's story but you are even more surprised by the reaction of the people around siding with him as they start to try to push you away while insisting that he is just an 'old' man. They begin to attempt to lift him to his feet while saying to you to let him go.

Just then the first set of Airport Security already nearby are alerted to what is going on in the lounge and immediately begin to take charge asking for ID and an answer to what is going on. An argument ensues as the Professor tries to use the passionate crowd to his advantage.

GM: Whomever speaks for the group needs to roll against Charisma. Also state your actions now.

The Game Master says...

Upon seeing the arrival of security most of the people there begin to quiet down.

The security guards look over Shifter's badge, nod and then listen intently to his explanation and they seem to be understanding of what he has to say as they leave you to Prof. Walcott as they start asking everyone to back up and make room for you.

One of the security guards uses his side mic and says,

"Situation in the lounge under control."

Shifter can feel a warm sensation for the ring, he feels tempted to put it on.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Shifter and the rest of you secure Prof. Walcott using your grip of his arms and attempt to take him to your car. You also take whatever he had with him there. All the while he is complaining loudly and this alerts other security personnel in the airport, but thankfully you have won over the ones you met in the lounge and so they let you go by. You can see Prof. Walcott is nothing much without the ring. You have made it passed the airport watch and now you stand in front of Shifter's car.

GM: Who is actually in this car, it cannot fit all of you including the Professor, and I also need to know who is actually driving - in fact I need to know where everyone is and where they are sitting, who is actually holding Prof. Walcott. Thanks.

The Game Master says...

Shifter gets in the driver's seat while Assassin takes the seat next to him.

In the back are the rest of you holding on to Prof. Walcott save for Krusten who will be following you by taxi with the rest of belongings of the Professor.

GM: The cost of the run will be $30, please deduct it.

You leave the airport unhindered and start to make your way on to the nearby highway.

GM: Shifter should roll against intelligence and post the result. What is your destination?

On your way to the police station the Shifter feels that you are being followed. he mentions seeing a black car with heavily tinted windows swaying in and out of lanes as you do but never speeding up to pass.

GM: You have 10 minutes more til the police station, say what you wish to do now. I still need the roll for Shifter.

The Game Master says...

Krusten acknowledges your call to check the van. She asks the driver to go nearby where she can get a look inside. The cab driver nods and proceeds to slow down and maneuver closer to the van. Krusten focuses her mind on the van and immediately feels great danger. She gets flashes of men with automatic weapons possibly AK-47s in the van. The van itself is dark tinted and you cannot see what is inside.

At the same time...

Garrant in like manner also uses his danger sense and gets a similar premonition but he also sees the car he is in turning over and everyone inside badly hurt.

Assassin tries to intimidate Prof. Walcott to tell you the truth about the ring and his involvement but he does not seem to be moved by your insistence or threat.

Just then...

You can see the van speeding up to get closer to Shifter's car.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

In the space of half a minute the following happens in slow motion...

Garrant ensures his side door is open and then rips it off its hinges with his mind.

In doing this action Shifter's car is jerked strongly and Shifter fights to control it causing the car to swerve viciously. Other cars move away from your hazardous space to avoid a collision and in the course find themselves crashing into the median or skidding onto the highway's shoulder. Shifter does manage to regain control of his car.

I need a Speed and Strength check for Garrant (2D100), it is one thing to move stuff with your mind and quite another to balance on something with your mind while going down fast on a highway.

At that moment from behind...

Krusten informs the cab driver to back away when he sees the sudden movement up ahead and all the commotion begins. The cab driver ends up stuck behind cars that have crisscrossed ahead of him.

GM: Krusten is temporarily out of this action.

Just then...

Assassin and forge looking back can see that the van following has made it out of the commotion and still in pursuit. You can now see gun tips being poked out the sides.

GM: Please provide the rolls to continue.

The Game Master says...

in the other half minute...

Garrant miraculously negotiates the door under his feet and balances on top while the car is moving. he does notice that although he can keep it afloat he finds it very difficult to keep up with the speed of the car using his mental powers so he grabs the door frame to keep from being thrown back.

Shifter checks for an exit and finds one close by but you can still see the van about a quarter-mile back still in pursuit. The exit takes you to a small town with a fair amount of traffic that does not make dodging or driving fast permissible without causing a great disturbance but your very presence is already causing confusion as they see Garrant's acrobatic performance at the side of the car.

It will take you longer to reach your intended destination using these roads.

Meanwhile... After a couple of minutes.

The cab driver is able to pass and asks Krusten where she wants to go from here.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.
