This thread first started about the Second Coming and somehow evolved into a political rant. It has been changed to stay on an LDS Perspective.

If I prayed about this matter? are you serious? Heavenly Father has more serious matters to see about  (hungry in the world, people killing each other, etc) than to answer me whether Bush or Captain Moroni are alike...

The last statement I made was true, if not for the United States you would be living in Trinidad, providence of Germany, and I would be living in California (had it not been for out military) providence of Japan.  Or you would be in the communist providence of Trinidad.

*hehe* Seems like this BrianT has a 'special love' for you LDSforever.

Brian one thing we must remember... the US was not the only one to fight in the war. Even the Russians deserve lots of credit... afterall did they not reach Germany the same time you guys did? If it were not for the British keeping the Nazis busy do you think only D-Day would have got you into France. I think that statement is full of pride which as we know from Ezra Taft Benson - "There is no such thing as good pride".

Lastly, and this is the fault of many members of the Church - if it were not for GOD (not any one country) then the Axis would have won. It is GOD to whom all glory goes. I know this well from presiding at many meetings - I hear the members get up and state all the reasons why they get through in life and none of it is related back to Christ. Poor souls.
