Effort Begins to Draft Pro-Life Rep. Mike Pence for President
Conservative activists have created a new organization designed to persuade pro-life Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana to mount a bid for the Republican nomination for president. According to an AP report, Ralph Benko, a deputy counsel to Ronald Reagan, is working with other conservatives to form the America's President Committee to encourage Pence to run.
The congressman has drawn respect from both fiscal and social conservatives, in part because of his serious push to revoke taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business, and he is weighing whether or not to run for president or become a gubernatorial candidate in his home state to replace outgoing Governor Mike Daniels in 2012, who is a possible presidential contender himself.

Mike Pence Not Running for President, Governor Bid Likely
In a long-awaited announcement, pro-life Congressman Mike Pence will not seek the Republican nomination for president and will leave open the possibility of a gubernatorial bid.
Pence has ruled out a presidential bid and will tour the state over the next few months as he decides on whether to seek the governor's position or run for re-election to his congressional seat. Pence can't raise funds for a gubernatorial race until April 30 - giving him plenty of time to make a decision.
"In the choice between seeking national office and serving Indiana in some capacity, we choose Indiana," Pence said. "We will not seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012."
Pence said he would make a decision "later this year" about his next political step, though he appeared to telegraph his next move saying saying his "calling is closer to home" and added he would "be traveling across the state to listen and learn about how Hoosiers think we might best contribute in the years ahead."
"I have learned to follow my heart, and my heart is in Indiana," he added. Ref. LifeNews.com

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is Donald Trump's VP pick:
IndyStar has confirmed that Trump plans to announce Pence as his selection for vice president, ending a weeks-long vice presidential casting call during which Trump vetted a handful of high-profile Republicans. Ref. Source 5f.
Maybe he can help to bring back those lost conservative views that were drowned out by the Obama administration but again I feel many are underestimating Trump, he has a mind of his own.

As Indiana governor, VP Pence used personal email for state business - and was hacked
Vice President Mike Pence routinely used a private email account to conduct public business as governor of Indiana, at times discussing sensitive matters and homeland security issues. Emails released to The Indianapolis Star, in response to a public records request, show Pence communicated via his personal AOL account with top advisers on topics ranging from security gates at the governor's residence to the state's response to terror attacks across the globe. Cybersecurity experts say the emails raise concerns about whether such sensitive information was adequately protected from hackers, given that personal accounts like Pence's are typically less secure than government email accounts. In fact, Pence's personal account was hacked last summer. Ref. USAToday.
