Hey Again,
I understand your point about ,the morals of nudity,but if you look at most major fashion magazines,entertainment magazines i.e. Rolling Stone a lot have implied nudity. I am sure most of the models are religious in some form. So are the a lot of the photographers who photograph them. We are not talking about pornography
which is very degrading to women. But to some people everything is bad. It is part of the business in fashion,advertising,and many other aspects of the business.
If anybody I cared about did a nude,as you asked me. All I can say is they should have made that call at the time. Photographs and video last a long time! I may not be of the same faith as you but I am a believer! I see your point and welcome it! I think you run a clean forum here. I have posted my business on several other forums and they seem to be shady sights.At least you are monitering your posts, keep up the good work!

Nude Why

So what are we saying... because it is popular it is right? Let us go deeper. As a man, you see a photograph taken by a well known photographer for a prestigeous magazine. His photograph is of a woman holding her breasts in such a manner so as to not expose them, but yet you know that she is naked (I used this because it is a very popular public shot nowadays).

Now you as a man (speaking in general) looking at this photograph what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Its not, 'oh this looks like the work of such and such' or 'look at her eyes, aren't they pretty', I can bet for the average guy out there... its sex! That is what comes to mind first. Yes, it sounds raw, it sounds forward, but it is the truth. The idea behind the photo is to infact promote some kind of sexual interest because the world wants it and it brings in the money. Want proof? If such a photo reduced sales do you think magazines would keep on printing photos like that? Nope!

It is a models individual choice if they want to do nude. If you are in for the long haul(want to become a serious actor/model career wise) I would recommend serious thought before you get your gear off.
On the other hand, there are lots of models who do nude work because it's easy, you don't need any training and the money is a lot better than a nine to five job.
As far as sorting out the sleazebags, simply ask them on the phone if they wish for you to do nude work when you make your appointment. It can often save you a lot of time and hassle if you're not into it.

As with anything else in life, but that is not really what the discussion is about... the point is... is it necessary? Is it right? Why do nude? If it is just about the money, then is it really worth it? I am yet to know of a woman who has done nude and did not wish they could change their whole past and wipe it clean, but unfortunately it is not so. Once they have made that choice, it is gone, never to be regained. So the issue here is for models to take account of what means more to them...

Well, being a nude model myself, i think its quite a beautiful thing. The body is a very very beautiful thing. Not exactly in pornography with gratuitous sex and show, but just a naked body. I believe that is true art, and a model who can withstand that, and model under that is definitly a true artist.

Why do you use the word 'withstand'? Are you saying that it is an art to overcome being shy so you can pose nude? If so I really do not see how the model is an artist since you are doing nothing but showing uncovered skin while in a pose the photographer or artist has set.

No im not REALLY a nude model, i just thought it would be funny to say that. I do think that a model is more than just showing off clothes. A model is someone you look at in their pose and their look can draw a picture or draw a mood. Clothes or not, that model (being an artist) has an effect on the audience. Is that not what an aritst is, A person who uses their talent (drawing writing posing) to create an effect or express an emotion.

There are some social prssures and personal issues some models have to over come, and thats what i mean withstand. I've known a few models, (no big time) but models still. ofcourse nothing compared to you Jb.

I dont think showing a body in a dirty or sexual way is art. i think thats a waste of life, and a waste of talent...thats not even talent thats like..dirt. Ew.
