Watching Heric and LaReina walk away is the hardest thing she's had to do...
Kettle holds the torch high to light up as much of the area around her and Alex as possible, so that if there is an attack she might see it coming... Using a corner of her cloak, she soaks it with water and cools Alex's brow, while keeping her eyes and ears open for activity...

"Alex did what he could for us,now he is gone,lets make sure that he did not die in vain! I have a new mission if we ever get out of here,kill the duke myself. Even if it means I will die. I dont expect anyone to be with me on this one, of course getting out of here may never happen. So I will concentrate on getting out of here and save my revenge for later."

Standing as utterly still as possible, Kettle uses her thieves hands to slowly, ever so quietly, reach into her pack for a ration...and quietly, silently break it into small pieces.... she holds these in the palm of her hand -- and then tosses them on the ground at the feet of the winged creature. Heart pounding, she waits for it to flinch...
