Out of Character: What about the faint radiation earlier, could it becoming from the generator? You don't have a suit on, I'm the only one I think that does and I have a detector. Maybe I should have a look at it, I do have an electronics skill although I don't know if it will work on this.

Out of Character: The generator should be a mechanical device, at least the main machinery, and I'm an engineer. Probably is better if I have a look at it, I doubt you would be able to fix it. Maybe you can scan the area first with the detector to check if the radiation is stronger next to the generator
