MURDERED businessman Anthony Chen was identified by police as the mastermind behind the kidnapping of Chinese businesswoman Xue Hua Shan.
Up to late yesterday, there was no word on the whereabouts of the kidnapped woman.
Investigators probing Shan's abduction intended to arrest Chen and question him in connection with the incident after they received vital information linking Chen as the person behind the kidnapping.

The second suspect in the killing of Anthony Chen has been freed for lack of evidence.
QUOTE POLICE yesterday released a second suspect who was held for questioning in connection with the murder of businessman Anthony Chen.
Homicide officers released the suspect after failing to compile enough evidence to have the 30-year-old man charged with the crime.
On Sunday another suspect was released from custody.
Investigating officers said the man was released around 11 a.m. Yesterday pending further investigations.
The suspect they said, maintained that he knew nothing of the killing.
Investigators said they were pursuing all leads in the matter and expected to make several more arrests.
"We are not done. We will get them -soon," said one officer close to the case.
Chen, 61, was shot at close range outside his China Palace Restaurant at Ellerslie Plaza, Maraval on April 24.
