What Is A True Friend?

What is a true friend? How would you define one, spot one, treat one and expect to be treated. You can tell some personal experiences, or not, its all good!

I know ive been having a lot of troubling times with friendships and i would like to hear what you think.

Friend True Is What

A TRUE Friend is someone who wants to help you. I have many "at school friends" but these 'friends' dont call, dont write notes, and generally are more aquantances than friends.

I have 3 True friends. My best Girl Friend, Kirsten. She cares about me. She calls me. She worries about me, and i worry about her. We're more like sisters than friends. A true friend that i can depend on always and always.
My Best Guy Friend Daniel. Hes sincere, and can always help me out on those issues that only a guy can answer. Hes honest, and also seeks help from me. A true friend who wants to make a difference.
My Boyfriend Shawn. WE've been BEST friends since frosh year, and we just recently started dating. Hes the type of guy that can make anyone smile, and hes always there to make a difference. Hes an eagle scout! w00!

So yeah, basically, I think that a TRUE friend is someone who cares so much about you, that you can easily do anything for them. *not like that!* So yeah.

I have only 3, but they're the best 3 in my little world ^_^

Mmm Thats awesome! I think that ws a great answer..What do u get out of friendship, not so much help and being there, but what emotionally do you get out of your friendships? I dont mean for you to think about 'get get' but what does your soul...or ur heart get outa the friendship? Er if that makes sense.

Friend True Is What

i know what you mean. I think i get alot out of helping my friends, both my awsome pals and little stuff.

Like for exsample: THeres this little freshman that follows me around (im a senior) and he talks to me a bunch and is generally annoying (as most frosh are) but its nice, cuz today he came up to me and asked me to help him with some problems he was having at school, and it made me happy that someone looks up to me.

Ive also been dubbed the "love guru" with my small circle of friends...im usually the one to call on if you have a love problem. im pretty good at getting all my facts straight and seeing stuff from every angle, and try and help them out as much as possible without getting involved with it. I like to point out stuff that usualyl they didnt see, or chose to ignore.

I guess i love helping people ^_^ thats what i get from my friends

Hmm, but what else? Isnt there some kind of feeling, emotion or personality "gleam" that you pick up of improve on with ur friends?

I just get so happy! Every day i see Daniel and attack him...then at band i attack my Boyfriend and my best friend...its just the best feeling in the world to be able to go and hug someone. I dont need a million friends. im quite happy with the 3 i have -->

What Is True Friend

A true friend is someone who will be there for you no matter what, someone that you can trust your life with, and know that they will never leave you behind. Someone who will love you no matter what, and will treat you with respect, no matter what. A person you can share your secrets with and not feel ashamed, or feel worried about them telling it to someone.
