Weinergate is just exploding, thanks in large part to the fact that Congressman Weiner thought it was a good idea to go on a media tour to talk about Weiner pics that were tweeted from his Twitter account to a young girl who is not his wife. The interviews did not go well, as Weiner backtracked and said yeah, the Weiner pic might be mine. Ref. Source 7

I don't know how easily he will be able to 'go back' to his career or personal life. Thanks to this scandal his life will be in the media for awhile and if Pelosi has her way it will be before the Ethics Committee.

Well what is the ethics committee is going to do to him because most of them have done stuff just as bad if not worse than Weiner. I think job wise he will still be in until next elections. Then it is up to his people to make the decision whether to keep him in or not.

Left hilariously defends Weiner
Joy Behar, Media Matters, Daily Kos, Jon Stewart, Chris Matthews (who suggested Weiner did this because of his wife) and a host of others were either defending Weiner or taking it easy on him. Would they have done that to someone on the other side of the aisle? Barbara Walters in particular went way out of her way to conjure up a possible theory that would actually make Weiner's wife happy he sent those pictures of his private parts. Ref. Source 1

Well, the icing on the cake is that his wife is reported to be in the early stages of pregnancy. Apparently, she doesn't plan to leave him.
