Climate trends upsetting ecosystems: A report led by U.S. Geological Survey
"Impacts of Climate Change on Biodiversity, Ecosystems, and Ecosystem Services" -- says animal and plant species are flowering, laying eggs or migrating in different ways and at different times than in previous years. This pattern, the USGS said, is accelerating. Ref. Source 5
Comments: That's a hard way to phrase it. Climate change causes the earth to change so have you ever seen March of the Penguins? At the end (credits or something) they show an area where tens or even hundreds of penguins are stuck in 20 ft. Trenches and they will die there. Those trenches are cracks in the ice due to global climate change. Also, global climate change messes with the water temp and the migration of fish so that there may be less fish for the penguins to dine on, therefor starving them.so I would estimate that a couple thousand or ant least one thousand penguins have died due to climate change related things.
Climate Scientists Give New Prediction of Sea Level Change:
In a new report, climate change scientists predict that for each one degree Celsius of increase in global temperature, sea levels will rise 2.3 meters. They say their estimate may be accurate for as long as the next 2,000 years. Ref. Source 6
Flooded rail lines, bigger and more frequent droughts, and a rash of wildfires are predictions in a White House climate change report released Tuesday.
"Climate change, once considered an issue for a distant future, has moved firmly into the present," The National Climate Assessment says, adding that the evidence of man-made climate change "Continues to strengthen" And that "Impacts are increasing across the country." Ref. CNN
