Our gas prices have finally dropped a little here in Alaska. We are at $4.05 for regular. This is still higher than the national average. On our recent trip in the states we paid an average of $3.59 a gallon.
We need to fill our heating fuel tank before prices start climbing again.

Oil seems to be holding out under $100 even with the US financial crisis, I was expecting it to rise again, but then again why would it if no one will be able to afford it?

To boot some lifestyle changes and no particular storm to blame things on at this time give it till after Christmas at latest spring and I am sure it will jest past any prices we have seen yet.

we hit 4.45 a gallon yesterday. Might drop but I am not holding out on it. I would think Alaska would be more expensive.
I see Alberta is son going to be hit by some new laws so that might drive our prices up a bit. Pollution laws ect.

I saw our stations around my area hitting $3.059 a gallon for the ethanol blend. I think that inventories are continuing to rise as people have changed their habits and are driving a lot less. This is having a big effect on the price of crude oil. I believe we may see it hit $80 a barrel if not lower.
We were about $1 a gallon higher than everybody else in the country. Then Sarah repealed the 8% gas tax and that brought it down a little but not enough. She then initiated an investigation into why our gas prices are so high when we drill and refine our own oil right here in the state. Things have slowly started to move now. We'll see if it continues to decline or goes back up.

Finally under $3.50/gal around here, lowest so far is $3.43. But don't be surprised if OPEC decides to cut production again to keep prices at a higher level.
