Castilian is the purest form of Spanish (just like Queen English is for English speakers). The difference between a person speaking castellano in Argentina for instance and someone from Cuba for example its that most Latin American countries will say 'Tu' (you) and Castellano will use 'Vos' (you).

Isn't Castilian Spanish also spoken with a sort of a lisp? I seem to remember my niece mentioning that when she was learning.

Hmmm it depends where the person is from. There are some regions in Spain where the people speak with a sort of a lisp.
