No Ghosts At Graveyards?

Comments: There is always stories, talk, shows and rumors about ghosts in graveyards yet I am a night shift worker at a graveyard and have never seen any ghosts. I have seen many stray cats and dogs though.
I've taken a few long walks through the local town cemetery at night (though I've been told by the country sheriff it is illegal to be in a graveyard after dark without permission, so be warned), and while I too have heard and seen various animals (opossums, cats, armadillos, dogs, etc), it's otherwise been a very quiet and peaceful period of time and place (if not very well lit).
While to a small extent I suppose I can see *some* sense in the argument of why spirits might haunt the final resting place of a body, I really don't think graveyards are where "ghosts", if such things exist, would be very likely to spend their time or be bound. They'd want to be around activity and people and places and people they were in life, or where something traumatic happened - there is very little, except their physical shell, that would have any connection for them at a graveyard, as they have no personal connection to that location.
