My Computer Has Slowed Down So Much Help!

Comments: When I first got my computer it was lightning fast and now after six months it is slow like a turtle. Its getting irritating to the point that there is a 1-2 second delay on everything I click on. Please help me, what can I do to get rid of this problem?
