A nationally known birdbath is getting a new life at the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma after local birders struck a more environmentally friendly, scientifically rigorous deal with the park's leaders. The old water source, which some said existed for three decades, was a faucet drip near the monument's main parking lot. Ref. Source 2

It is good to see something like this happen. The fact that a lot of birds are attracted to this bird bath makes it a delightful place to go bird watch. That reminds me to get my bird bath back out.
