D&D 3.5 Tal'garoth Game

Dungeons & Dragons Tal'garoth Game

The small village of Cartetha seems a small spec on the continent of Tal'Garoth. Though small, it was a key location for the Feldakar Kingdom. After supply caravans where dropped off on the coast, they made their way across the rough desert to Cartetha.

Every week a caravan comes through the small village and the inhabitants rejoice at being able to buy more than what the meager market can offer. The caravans are usually well protected, but not even the protection of guards always keeps the caravans safe. The orcs of Tal'Garoth have been growing increasingly more active and as of late several caravans have seemed to vanish out of thin air.

But, the kingdom has more to worry about. A group of people called the Dral-Tek, who were the original inhabitants of the land have started to rebel against the kingdom. They try to stir the hearts of the poor into raising arms against there leaders. There are rumors that there is a Dral-Tek camp South West of Cartetha.

There is also another town called Leth to the South East of Carthetha and a large fortress called Ka-Karen even further south. There are oasises spread out across the continent and they provide water for these places.

Glem sits in a dark corner of the tavern, eyes flicking around the room observing the other patrons. His mug sits empty, as it has been for an hour and a half. He'd been hearing snippets of conversations when an idea forms in his head. He scans the other people, looking for someone unfamiliar or out of place.

There seems to be an influx of new people with the caravan in town. There are the people who live in Cartetha wearing simply cloth clothes and what seem to be some caravan guards making jokes over some drinks.

Then suddenly, your eyes happen upon a figure unlike any of the others. He appears to be wearing some kind of armor on under a coat like garmet. All of his face, but his eyes, is covered by a cloth that is wrapped around his head. You can also see an odd looking symbol on a piece of his armor that is not covered by the coat. He has a wicked looking scimitar in a scabbard on his belt.

He looks you directly in the eyes with an authoritive, unwavering gaze. Then suddenly he turns and leaves the tavern.

Other than that, you can see a man wearing full plate armor sitting alone in a dark corner. He seems to be watching everyone in the tavern, much like you are doing.

Glem gets up to follow the man and exits the tavern. He tries not to get distracted by the bustling crowds as he searches over all the heads for the same cloth he just saw.

If necessary, Spot: Nat1 +2 = well, its a failure if I had to spot.

The man that Glem went outside after has seemed to vanish. He couldn't have gotten far, but the small market of Cartetha is right outside of the tavern and with the caravan in town, a suprising number of people are milling about.

Exasperated, Glem decides he doesn't like all the people pushing past him, and heads left and left again into the first alleyway.

When Glem enters the allyway he can see a fight going on. An elderly man about in his 60s as well as a younger man about 30 are swinging weapons at another man who seems even younger, about in his teens.

None of them appear to have seen Glem yet.

Glem draws his scythe and moves closer to get a better view.

Move silently: Nat 20 + 0 (that's what I get for using the pseudo-random generator above smile.gif )

He moves up and puts the scythe to the throat of the man in his 30's.
"Good day, gentlemen," he says, using the creepiest voice he can muster and trying to scare them. "Just what exactly are you up to?"

Intimidate: 13 - 2 = 11

Out of Character: I hope you don't mind me picking daily spells a bit later, check the help thread.
