Payne Max

Before watching this movie I was aware of its relation to the video game, but I did not play "Max Payne" the game, so I do not know how close it is to the game's storyline. Regardless, this is about a movie, and I found the movie to be wanting. Mark Wahlberg was good in his part but I found some of the effects repetitive (like flickering lights) and certain actions not having a flow sufficient to make sense, in other words you do not feel like you are consumed by the movie and your interest can be lost at times.

Note: If you wait for all the credits to pass then you see a small piece where the head woman of the pharmaceutical company is shown as the next target for Max Payne and his new side kick.

The trailer is more interesting than the movie. Mark Wahlberg was descent for his role but the overall story was not gripping or anything like that. I was kinda disppointed.
