Have you ever had a psychic experience? If so, tell us about it here.
Personally, I have had a few, minor experiences.
When I was 19, I was dating a young woman who was really into occult types of things. At the time, I didn't really understand what she was up to, I thought it was just a sci-fi/fantasy sort of thing.
One night, after a date (no, no drugs or alcohol were involved) when I went to sleep, I suddenly found myself in a very strange dream, where I was with her, among a group of people wearing dark robes with hoods over their heads, hiding their faces. But it felt different than a normal dream, with feelings of evil surrounding me. I woke up, with many of the details still clear in my mind at about midnight. I remembered some of the discussion among these people.
The next day, I asked the young woman about it, and she explained that, yes, she had attended a meeting of "the Council" the night before, and that I had apparently "tagged along" with her. When I explained what I had experienced, she said that it was exactly like the actual "meeting."
Other than that, my wife and I are very close, so that my wife can tell if something isn't right for me, even if I am far away (in a different state).
Wow, that sounds really creepy. Did you stop dating the girl after that?
I had several 'psychic experiences' one particularly kept in my mind for years and other two I would say are most a spiritual experience than anything else.
When I was around 9 or 10 years old I remember I was sleeping and I suddenly I felt something very strange within me. I felt to sit down on my bed and look at the open closet that was in front of me and I saw my face on it. My eyes were different and I was speaking a language that I never heard in my life. I got really scared and told my grandmother about it.
The second experience was on a Saturday, when I was around 20 tyears old , nobody was at home except for my uncle and I and somebody knocked the door, as soon as I heard the knock, I rush to the door (without knowing who was the person) and open the door and say: "Mary (she was the person at the door) What happened with Alo? (my grandmother's friend) is she okay?". She was schocked she asked me how I knew Alo got into an accident and that she was in the hospital. I said I didn't know, I just felt I needed to say that.
And the third was on a week day, I was washing the dishes and suddenly came a feeling to me that said 'Your husband got into accident but he is alright'. I felt a very peaceful feeling. My husband came home and he didn't tell me anything about it, I thought it was just my imagination but minutes later he told me he got into an accident and that he felt to move while in the car before the other car impacted on the one he was in. I just felt so grateful I knew about it and that I had that peaceful feeling of reassurance that everything was just fine.
One night my mother woke to hear a man downstairs yelling "It was in the kitchen, he did it in the kitchen." She woke her husband who went down to investigate, but found nothing. He said to her she must have imagined it.
The next morning the police rang to say that my brother had committed suicide the night before. When she asked where it had happened they told her he was at home and had done it in the kitchen. My mum went to grief counselling and in one of the sessions she described what had happened in regards of the voice yelling and asked if the counsellor had heard of anything like this happening. The counsellor told her that some of the experiences she had been told of would make your hair stand on end.
What about the many Psychics of today? Even the government listens to them:
Leon Jaroff: Whenever I begin to feel that I"ve been too hard on so-called psychics, my feelings of guilt are quickly assuaged by still another example of psychic nonsense. This time it involved American Airlines Flight 1304, scheduled to take 128 passengers from Fort Myers, Florida, to Dallas earlier this year. Shortly before passengers were to board, police with bomb-sniffing dogs arrived and began searching the plane from nose to tail. By the time their efforts were concluded, some of the crew members had exceeded their maximum time on duty. No immediate replacements were available, so the flight was cancelled, leaving passengers scrambling to find other planes. Why all the fuss? An unnamed psychic, 'sensing" that a bomb was on the plane, had telephoned her hunch to the local office of the federal Transportation Security Administration, which foolishly ordered the search.

I've had quite a few experiences that could be related to this subject. Some that come to mind is I'll be thinking about someone, and shortly after that, I'll get a phone call by them. Some of the more apparent ones are kinda personal. Sometimes I'll be in certain moods and weird things happen, like things falling off of shelves. Also, a few years ago, I had a dream about 3 planes crashing if different places, that next moring, I drew a picture of it with some commentary. About a week later, the Sept 11 thing happened. Most of it depends on my connection with a person and their emotions, etc.
I once had a dream my about my Aunt having a baby. The next day she calls and says she's pregnant. Creepy !
I've had a few psychic experiences. They are all related and I've started trying to better my skills. When I work with people (children mostly) and they are willing, often I will gain their memories of specific circumstances, including emotions, images, smells and everything. This happens mostly when someone needs my help with something. I haven't really figured out how to control it yet but I have figured out some things that sometimes stimulate it.
I've had several "psychic" experiences, some resulting from dreams, some in conscious life. One instance in particular still haunts me. It happened about 8.5 years ago. I was working my coffee bar shift at my local AA club. This was on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm. There was no meeting until 5:30, and I was the only one there. I decided to take advatage of the peace and quiet by doing some simple line drawing. It is a form of meditation and relaxation for me.
About 30 minutes into my session I began to have visions of a wolf and an overwhelming feeling of distress regarding one of my friends in the group. I tried to call him several times with no success. This went on for the better part of an hour.
Folks started trickling into the club around 4:30. Now being on duty, my responsibilites were to my fellow alcoholics. The 5:30 group was a smoking meeting. My relief worker showed up, so I went into the meeting room and sat down with the others.
I still couldn't get Phil and the wolf out of my mind. All of a sudden he showed up, visibly upset, and took a seat. Phil is highly sensitive to smoke, and normally does not attend smoking meetings. I knew then without a doubt that something was wrong. A few minutes later he shared that his beloved pet, a gorgeous German Sheppard/Wolf hybrid, had been struck and killed by a car.
I still get chills when I remember this.
