My Child Wants To Help But He Makes A Mess! - Page 2

I've been trying to get Thomas (6) and Colin (very 3) to help out around the house more. They're great about putting trash in the can and dirty dishes in the sink. Both the boys were afraid of the vacuum, though, but Tom is getting over it. He's even starting to help push it around the room. Colin takes the clean dishes out of the dishwasher and hands them to me to put up in the cabinets. Both boys help me take the plastic bottles out to the recycling dumpster. They also help by taking the dirty clothes out of the hamper and putting them in the basket on laundry day. Now, if only they would start picking up in their room...
