Liam Neeson Criticized for Making Blatantly Anti-Catholic Commercial Promoting Abortion

Sometimes the appeal to baser instincts is not only impossible to miss but clearly something that is consciously intended. Which brings us to an absolutely astonishing ad produced by Amnesty International as part of its full-bore campaign to legalize abortion in Ireland. Matthew Archbold of the National Catholic Register calls “Chains,” the 1 minute, 36 second long ad, “blatantly anti-Catholic.” The narrator is actor Liam Neeson. Ref. Source 6y

Amnesty International Pushes Legalizing Abortion in Ireland, Ignores Irish Record Helping Women

Ireland’s doctors will be feeling left out in the cold after reading today’s open letter published by Amnesty International. The letter, which calls for further liberalization of Ireland’s abortion laws, makes no mention of the fact that Ireland continues to be a world leader in the area of maternal health. Instead, by claiming that the criminalization of abortion prevents healthcare providers from delivering care to their patients, it offers a very misleading message about the current standard of care offered to pregnant women in Ireland. Ireland Abortion Laws

Ireland votes resoundingly to repeal abortion ban. Ireland has voted an emphatic "Yes" to amend the country's constitution to enable legislation that would allow women to have an abortion in a historic and emotionally charged referendum.

With a high turnout Friday of 64.13%, 66.4% voted for the amendment, and 33.6% against, according to the country's Referendum Commission. The results Saturday defied earlier projections that it would be a tight race.

Only one county voted no -- the rural and religiously conservative Donegal in northwest Ireland. Ref. CNN.
