I remember there were certain teachers that would instruct you in a certain topic and then at the end they would say, "Any questions?", however the way they said it was really saying this, "I explained this thoroughly so you better not have any questions." Therefore no one ever asked. Then when the teacher left the room we would look at each other with puzzled faces asking "Did you understand any of that?". Ah yes, the blessed public education.
