I understand Nighthawk, now let me clarify something else... this is not meant as a guilt trip, everyone is defending why they do this or that, it is not necessary... we have 800+ members here, I am talking in general terms, not about those who already are dedicated. Besides, you best possible help is actually referrals, so if you know someone that needs translation, web design services, logo, graphic creation then just let them know about us, you get commission and we also make a buck - win - win. Remember, moderation is also considered a donation since you are using your time to police the community.

About the features, well the funny thing is this... I have proposed many times adding features to the mods - I even established a thread for it in the Moderator board, but no one responded, so I just did not bother. If you want to take it up now, then look for it there. Current features for Mods include the ability to use and see any board, to edit their own post whenever they want, no limit to continuous posting (one post after the other), automatic discounts each time you buy something at the shop, insider information on members and happenings on the board, options to setup and edit the calendar for recurring events, those are just the ones that come to mind at the moment.

As far as what we offer, well something unique that I have not seen on any forum... the ability to bring many races, countries, religions, and cultures into ONE community with RESPECT for each other, PROTECTION from slander, porn and ridicule with a DATABASE of knowledge and opinions that King Arthur wished he had from the round table. Even better... it is still growing and getting bigger each day.

Thanks to all of you of course wink.gif

Thanks for outlining what the moderators have. I probably wouldn't have realized most of those things.

I wasn't trying to justify myself, but rather explain how I would feel about paying a premium. Not that a lot of places are worth paying for, in fact I feel very bad that I can't donate to this forum, to LGF, and other content sites that I use a lot.

Well, the board shop might have discounts for moderators, but I STILL can't afford anything (of course, someone STOLE some of my FPs, that didn't help). I'll just keep on posting, build it back up.

Try the daily raffle, I see almost every day where 20 fp just goes down the drain simply because no one bought a ticket (the draw happens everyday no matter if a ticket is bought or not). You can also try stealing, who knows, you might get lucky. laugh.gif
By the way you have more than most - 173FP! You can buy stuff with that in the shop. We updated it with a lot more items.

As a non-mod, I have to agree with Nighthawk and say that I probably would not pay for a premium membership myself at this point in time. However, I do want to say that this is the one forum that I have joined and enjoyed posting too, and even though I am a new member, I intend to stay with this forum and contribute now that I have seen what it has to offer. With that being said, I may down the road entertain the idea of paying for a premium membership if my experience here continues the way it has started. This by the way is a compliment to JB and all the mods here. Keep up the good work!

Thanks very much for your input, if you have time, there are other threads here with specific questions that you can give some feedback to, this will help us to know where we are going. Take a look at the board itself Feedback Forum. Thanks.

There is nothing to feel bad about Nighthawk, you bring lots of great contributions into our forum, specially in the Deep Doctrine and International Board, lots of things I have learnt during this year was because of topics or things you have said and I researched about...you see...THAT...doesn't have a price wink.gif Thanks for all your help.

We love you all people!!!!! smile.gif

Okay, so far the general consensus is basically the forum does not have anything sufficient that would enthuse a regular user to the point where they would want to specifically purchase a premium membership. Then the focus will need to be on simple donations, even if it is only time or referrals. Shall I keep this thread open?

I don't see why not.

I think the trouble is you already offer us so much for free that we can't imagine what more you could give us that we would pay for in light of how much we get for free. Little consolation, I imagine, but it really is a compliment to the job you do here.
