Circus camp

I don't agree with several things:

1. I don't see so far the need to collect all our gear and stuff. So far nothing happened, we are reacting too quickly and could be very unwise.

2. No need to set a camp near the circus. For what reason? we may look like we are planning an attack, after all, nothing in the story is showing danger, so far.

3. Have thieves walking outside, is way too risky and it may cause us trouble. Why to put attention to ourselves when in fact we should try to look as 'normal' as possible?.

4. How Wimplo thinks to find a job as a charicature artist?, the circus has no need of workers and he is a stranger in town.

5. Already thinking in killing? Wo, let's cool it smile.gif. There is nobody to kill as yet smile.gif.

I know we all are trying to be wise but really we need to follow the story. So far, what I think needs to be done is go to the circus and see what's going on. Setting a camp, having thieves all over, wear our warrior gear on a circus, is to draw attention to ourselves and is dangerous.
But of course, you all are free to play your characters so if everybody agrees with your plan, I would specifically say what I want my character to do. These are only just my thoughts. smile.gif

We should meet within an hour at the tavern or somewhere close to the circus. We need to decide how many of us would be going and what the rest would be doing.

I think it will lead to some amount of violence. Also i odnt think they would drug us, the ringmaster is a magician i think. He casts a spell (just a guess) but i think airmed isnt strong enough to counter his magic. As for charicatures? I...dont remember signing up for that job ^_^.

I say we take make some decisions soon.
I say we go staight for the magician/ringmaster/leader and question him in the name of the towns people. Act like police in a way, just ask him some questions.

Tena says we should spy around, and send airmed.
Any other ideas?--

I am not saying we should do anything. I was throwing stuff up for discussion. I think LDS has some good points. However, my character will continue to wear his armor.

I was thinking as I typed. In fact that is why my last suggestion was that we leave our gear at home and if we decide we need to follow the circus we can get it later.

As far as the thieves walking around outside. It is my understanding there are games of chance, etc., set up outside the show tent. So, I don't think it would be suspicious for them to walking around as long as they were participating in the games. I don't think it is obvious that they are thieves just by looking at them.

If we all go to the show, we risk all of us being affected by whatever magic is being wielded. Plus not everyone has the gp necessary to attend.

How Wimplo thinks to find a job as a charicature artist?, the circus has no need of workers and he is a stranger in town.

*bows deeply to Ariadne*

My dear Ariadne, a circus you see is a place of wonder and excitement. People come to escape the humdrums or daily life, and to experience the fantastic for a time.

*grins broadly, puts arm around Ariadne and gestures toward the sky as though trying to show her something amazing*

Now imagine if you will a humble farmer and his wife, come to enjoy a few hours respite from the daily grind of farmwork. They come and behold amazing magicians, death defying acrobats, and wonderous animals. But given time the memories fade, and nothing is left to remind them of their grand adventure on the circus grounds. Now imagine that some skilled artist, like myself, were to create a picture of this fine farmer and his wife, depicting them as a valiant knight and beautiful princess, or as adventuring rouges, or powerful mages. Then everytime they glanced at this work of art they would be taken back in their minds to the day of the circus, and be able to relive their grand adventure on these grounds. Surely such a thing would be worth a few gold pieces to anyone fortunate enough to have their likeness captured upon parchment.

*Releases Ariadne and steps back, putting his hands on his hips*

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must find some parchment and pens, so that I might help these humble souls capture their memories of today forever. Oh, and one more thing...

*winks at Ariadne and flashes a conspiratorial smile*

...the name is Thorian, not Wimplo. Now I'm off!

*walks away grandly, looking for somewhere to swipe/trade for a pen, some ink, and some parchment*

IC: Ariadne looks at Thorian's hand on her shoulder, she gently, takes it out and says "Listen, you like to dream to much, don't ya?. She then sighs and says 'Good luck with your charicature job"

OC:Fun, sorry about that, I meant to say Thorian (Ramsus). ;D

Yes, I know it could lead to some danger but I think if we go and approach the people just so in the name of the town, it will look not only suspicious but also paranoid laugh.gif. If you want the truth from someone, do you actually go and ask the person? wink.gif Anyhow, I already said what I think needs to be done. I will just wait to see what the rest has to say.

I said 3 or 4 of us go to the circus. Maybe 2 of us would actually seat and participate and the other two (who are more strong in mind) could be around watching the people's expressions and checking what kind of magic they are using.

Okay seeing as the GM did'nt see that I wanted my character to eat I guess I'll have him do that now.
As for going into the main tent or playing the games I can't do either because I'm broke. If someone spares me a GP I'll go into the main event though.
As for the rest of the stuff I agree mostly with LDS.

Ditto what Shade said.

IC: **Airmed rummages through her backpack looking for rations**

Whatever thoust will, I shall oblige. However, we should check the magician's quarters if possible, during the show. We need to see with what he practices. Per shance that we should lay hands upon a spell book, or Book of Shadows. But if found, a brave thief may need to disarm it, for surely it will not be left without a trap or enchantment upon it.
